Is
this real sea glass?
Some
of the jewelry pieces, like our Charm Bracelets, do incorporate
the genuine seaglass (a.k.a. beach glass) found along our beaches. However,
we could never hope to find the wide range of shape and color found in
our creations. To supplement the natural supply, we mix in beads and shards
of recycled glass, that are etched with salt water and beach sand to replicate
that unusual and unique texture. Click

| What
metal is this?
In
all our jewelry, we use the best "metal" for the job. The chains found
in our necklaces and bracelets are always genuine sterling silver, as are
the tiny accent beads. We like sterling for its natural clear color which
does not "compete" with the brilliant shades of the glass, and any tarnish
that may develop is easily cleaned.

Our
earrings have sterling silver ear wires, in the French shepherd hook style.
Each pair is delivered with clear tiny stoppers, for extra security. Click

Other
accent beads and the bar & toggle clasps are of lead-free pewter. This
is a great metal, as it provides a tarnish resistant medium perfect for
intricate detail. It is also non-irritating for those with sensitive skin
and hypo-allergenic requirements.

| What
other elements are used?
To
add interest and design, we also use genuine freshwater pearls, semi-precious
stones, and fine European crystals. The pearls and stones may have slight
variations in shape and shading, due to their organic origin. The crystals
are genuine Swarvoski and other European fire-polish varieties, adding
just a touch of sparkle.

Where
is the jewelry made?
All
of our jewelry is entirely American hand made on the Outer Banks of North
Carolina and in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. We have studios in
both locations, where several talented artists create our designs. We take
real pride that our designs are American handmade, and not churned out
by overseas assembly lines. The attention to detail and quality of design

| Do
you create special orders? Do you make custom pieces?
The
short answer is unfortunately, no we cannot do custom pieces at this time.
Arranging special orders without being face to face has proven to be problematic.
At this time Austin Design can only offer the items found in our shopping
gallery.

| How
is the jewelry shipped?
Delivery
of jewelry from our web site's shopping gallery is made by either by UPS
Ground, insured or via the U.S. Postal Service, insured. There are several
choices at time of check-out, including flat rate options and express service.
These orders usually leave our studio within 24 hours, taking exception
for holidays and weekends, and should reach you between 4 and 7 days.

If
you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, we suggest that
you choose one of the U.S. Postal Service options, as these tend to be
more economical and timely. Click

| How
is the jewelry packaged?
All
deliveries are carefully packed, with recycled materials when possible.
The jewelry is individually wrapped with anti-tarnish tissue paper. An
informative story card is included that tells about the creation, inspiration,
and care of the jewelry (a wonderful addition if this is a gift!). And
of course, we include a detailed sales invoice for your records.

you have a catalog?
Sand
. Sea . Sun does not have a retail catalog. All items available
for retail sale are only available through this web site. We do
try to update frequently, and offer new items on a regular basis.

do I return or exchange an order?
We
have a 100% satifaction guarantee! If there is any problem with
your order, please feel free to call us at 434-832-7000 or email
us with any questions. Your satisfaction is important to us, and
we want you to be happy with your purchase!

with any order, be sure to print and hold on to your sales invoice at time
of order and the confirmation email, as we will need that information to

Security Measures
We
do not store credit card numbers on our site. As an added internal security
measure, we do not process your credit card payment online. Once we receive
the encrypted credit card information, it is automatically and completely
deleted from the database. We then process the payment here in our office,
through our local bank, the old fashioned way.

protect your credit card numbers, we require you to enter your credit card
information each time you place an order with us. This information is never
saved on our server! All transaction information that you supply to us
from your browser is exchanged with our server using a secure hypertext
protocol. This protects information from compromise as it travels between
your computer and our Web server.
